Fourth of five characters for an image for my friend Ping. This is a "remake" of his ice blaster Penguina. Empress is an ice/storm controller. I lost track of how long this took me - if I had to hazard a guess I'd say in the 6 hour range. I tried to darken the hair a bit - in the Penguina pic the coloration really got lost because I was too subtle with it. Her hair isn't really that dark, but I wanted you to actually see strands of hair. I'm much happier with how the gold came out in this image than previous images. Again I didn't do much in the way of shading, and there are some things that bother me with this image (the lack of symmetry in the feet, for instance), but again I need to cut down on time. And really, is an artist ever fully satisfied with their image?
